Stamp Cat Rice Bowl | Hasami Ware - Stamp ZOO Series | Made in Japan

This "Stamp Cat" rice bowl belongs to the Stamp ZOO series, a collaborative Hasami ware creation by designer KENJI Ota and the brand tomofac. The pattern originates from digital artwork meticulously transformed into physical stamps, which artisans apply by hand to the surface of each vessel one by one. Because every piece is crafted manually, each cat's expression, lines, and placement exhibit subtle variations, creating the natural character unique to handmade ceramics. Combining modern graphic design with traditional Hasami pottery craftsmanship, this bowl balances a lighthearted, charming expression with the practical utility expected of everyday tableware.

We love Stamp Cat because it brings digital design and traditional handcrafting together on a wonderfully everyday vessel. The cat motif carries a touch of playful humor, but what truly makes it special is that every single stamp is applied by an artisan's hand, ensuring each piece retains its own subtle differences. This wonderfully inconsistent detail gives it far more warmth and character than standard mass-printed patterned tableware.
